Successful RTI Collaboration Begins Here!
Welcome to the redesigned Academic Well-Check Program Web site. We hope it will be a valuable resource for our collaborative partners, as well as a destination for parents, educators, and school psychologists seeking the latest research-based information on academic interventions and RTI implementation.
The Academic Well-Check Program (AWCP) is a research and training project housed within the Institute for Child Study at the Indiana University School of Education in Bloomington.
The AWCP is committed to conducting high-quality academic research and to helping schools adopt scientifically based instructional and assessment methods. Our diverse activities include: collaborating with area schools transitioning to an RTI model; providing professional development and technical assistance to educators, school psychologists, and special education professionals; as well as equipping future school psychologists with the tools to affect positive systems change as schools move toward outcomes-based practices aligned with the latest research and educational policy.
Our Partners Are the Key
As we enter our fourth year, the AWCP would like to thank our valuable partners, whose foresight and commitment to improving education put them at the forefront of Indiana schools in adopting a Response to Intervention model. Our ongoing collaborative partnership with the Richland Bean Blossom Community School Corporation has allowed us to reach schools far beyond Indiana through our published research. We extend a warm "thank you" to the students, parents, faculty and staff of Edgewood Primary School, Edgewood Intermediate School, Edgewood Junior High School, and Stinesville Elementary School, who are the driving force behind the work of the AWCP.
